The fine print, made plain.
The terms for using the site and booking a stay. Kept short and kept fair. Last updated June 1, 2026.
Using this site
By using this website, you agree to these terms. The site and its content, including text, photography, and design, belong to The Hartline House and are provided for your personal use in learning about and booking a stay. Please do not copy, resell, or misuse the content or attempt to disrupt the site.
Reservations
A reservation is confirmed when you complete the booking and receive a confirmation by email. You agree that the details you provide are accurate, that you are at least eighteen, and that you will follow our house policies during your stay.
Rates, availability, and minimum-stay requirements are shown at the time of booking and may change before you reserve. The rate and terms attached to your confirmed reservation are the ones that apply to your stay.
Cancellation
Cancellation terms are part of your reservation. In short, you receive a full refund for cancellations up to fourteen days before arrival; inside fourteen days, the first night is non-refundable, and we will always try to rebook the room and refund what we can.
The full cancellation, minimum-stay, and house rules live on our policies page and govern your stay alongside these terms.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. You authorize us to charge the card on file for the reservation and for any incidental charges or damages incurred during your stay, in line with the terms shown at booking. All rates are in US dollars and may be subject to applicable taxes and fees.
Your stay
The house is a restored 1908 building on a working homestead, and we ask guests to treat it with care. You are responsible for your party and your guests, and for any loss or damage beyond ordinary wear. We may decline or end a stay for behavior that endangers the property, our staff, or other guests.
Liability
We work hard to keep the house, grounds, and the bicycles we provide safe and well maintained. To the extent permitted by law, The Hartline House is not liable for indirect or incidental loss, and your use of the property, the grounds, and any equipment is at your own risk. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We do our best to keep the information on this site accurate, but we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free, and we may update the site at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the inn or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. The terms in effect when you book apply to that reservation.
